Across the state, California teachers are driving innovation in the classroom and shaping our students' futures. To support their critical work, a coalition of California colleges and universities is inviting teachers to come together on July 31 to build powerful networks, share successful classroom practices and access effective resources to implement the California Standards.

Includes nationally renowned keynote speakers, workshops on practical and cutting-edge strategies working all across the state, and opportunities to collaborate and connect with fellow teachers.

 

The event will be held on Friday, July 31, from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Register today and come, free of charge. Continuing Education Credit available at a minimum cost.

Looking for fun summer plans?  What about a romantic summer evening in the woods and under the stars? Pack a picnic dinner and join us for the highly anticipated return of the summer entertainment series, "Once Upon a Canyon Night," a Presentation of TreePeople and Actors Conservatory Ensemble!

 

This series showcases an eclectic mix of concerts, comedy acts, uniquely staged readings, poetry and more in TreePeople's intimate S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre, described by past patrons as a "stunning setting...a great venue in the Santa Monicas among the trees."

 

This year's lineup features comic Maz Jobrani, a regular guest on NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me, Storytelling World Award winner Bil Lepp, an unprecedented 9th presentation of "Airplane! The Reading!!," returning vocalist Billy Valentine and other special guests.
