Caliornia's EEI Curriculum Helps Jumpstart the Transition to NGSS with the K-12 EEI Curriculum
The California Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) is a free K-12 curriculum developed by the State of California and approved by the State Board of Education. With California entering an early roll-out for the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), CREEC and CalRecycle are here to help with FREE trainings for K-12 teachers and full class sets of curriculum. EEI lessons present a wide variety of opportunities for you to become more familiar with the "three dimensions" of NGSS: (1) science and engineering practices; (2) content (disciplinary core ideas); and (3) crosscutting concepts. CalRecycle's rapidly expanding collection of preliminary NGSS correlation guides will help you get hands-on with the concept of 3D learning.
