The start of a new academic year brings with it many changes. New students, teachers, administrators, and content. Here at CREEC over the summer we bid a fond farewell to Anne Stephens, our former statewide coordinator. She accepted a tenure-track position at Cal State Chico. We wish her the very best and thank her for her service to CREEC.
I am fortunate to temporarily work with CREEC as the Acting Statewide Coordinator . I have been working with the CA Dept. of Ed. and am responsible for the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) transition in California. Prior to this, I was the Assistant Director of Education and Outreach at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies. I look forward to supporting environmental education in California as we transition to NGSS. |
