Great Opportunity for Schools: Book the ACE Assembly
The ACE Assembly illustrates the latest science on climate change, with a focus on real students who have experienced climate impacts and taken steps to become extraordinary climate leaders. Our new Assembly features fresh animation as well as alignment with Next Generation Science Standards and state science standards. BONUS: If your school is within the city of LA, you'll receive 100 free fruit trees to give away to the community, thanks to our generous partners at City Plants!

Catalyzing Climate Resilience in the City of LA
This fall ACE Los Angeles and TreePeople are partnering up to provide LA youth with the education, skills and confidence they need to comprehend the tangible impacts of climate change, and take action via community planting and maintenance events. This crucial partnership will increase tree canopy in our region, enable access to more plentiful green spaces and edible gardens, and assist in mitigating the local impacts of drought and excess greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.

Join Heal the Bay for Coastal Cleanup Day 2014

On September 20, join hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide -- including over 10,000 Los Angeles residents -- in showing some love for our most valuable natural resource.

Volunteers from Huntington Beach to Hong Kong will do their part to clean up their local beaches, rivers, creeks and parks. Last year alone, 648,015 volunteers in 92 countries collected over 12 million pounds of ocean-bound garbage. There's no other single-day volunteer event that even comes close to the impact of Coastal Cleanup Day.

Here in L.A., Heal the Bay is hosting over 60 cleanup sites to choose from. Simply pick a site, register, fundraise if possible, and show up!
