Greetings!

As we embark upon our busiest time of year, I can't help but think back to the great milestones we've hit in 2015. From expanding varietals under the Eagle Glen brand to welcoming Vermont Spirits, Renteria and Croix Estate to the family, 2015 has truly been one for the books.

With this issue of the Davies Family Selections Wine & Spirits News being the last of 2015, I would like to wish you all a very safe, warm and happy holiday, as well as a giant "Good Luck!" on the sales front. In addition, please help me in extending a warm welcome to Ed Travis and Southern Slopes, the new brokerage firm that will be overseeing our Southeast distribution region. Ed brings with him many years of experience in the fine wine business, so we're excited to have him!

Cheers!

Amisfield
There may be a shortage of ros in France, but not in our beloved New Zealand! Amisfield, the award-winning winery widely known for its exceptional Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris varietals, is debuting its 2015 Pinot Noir Ros for the first time in the United States.

After a warm and dry summer harvest, the result is a New Zealand ros that lives up to the region's longstanding history of serious dry styles. With notes of strawberries and cream, summer berries and watermelon, the Amisfield 2015 Pinot Noir Ros has a perfect balance of acidity, alcohol and sugar level and is bound to please.

Look to receive more information about purchasing Amisfield Pinot Noir Ros after the New Year.

B Cellars
If you didn't believe us the first time when we said that B Cellars' new winery and estate is a must-see, perhaps you'll take notes from Sunset Magazine's October issue highlighting Napa Valley's greatest vineyards.

The article showcases the Oakville standout as the newest addition to Napa's Golden Mile, contributing rich red blends to taste in the sleek wine cave or winery garden. Just as expected, the round and flavorful B Cellars 2011 Blend 25 is highly recommended.

Eagle Glen
I'm incredibly excited to share that my Eagle Glen 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon was recently recognized by Wine Enthusiast in an article about great Napa Valley reds that go easy on your wallet. Praising the wine for its versatility, the article notes that the Eagle Glen palate ranges from plum, dark cherry and clove to give a powerful, leathery finish that is a good choice for hearty meat dishes and wintertime risottos. A perfect wine for Thanksgiving and holiday gatherings!

Venge Vineyards
As the fifth vintage of Kirk Venge's Silencieux Cabernet Sauvignon, the recently released 2013 blend exceeds all expectations. Sourced from five single vineyards with different appellations, the end result is a carefully blended wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for the future.

Much like the Bone Ash Vineyard, Family Reserve and DLCV (Diana Lynn "Candy" Venge) Cabernet Sauvignon, this 2013 Silencieux keeps with the farm-to-bottle production practices in which Venge holds great pride. The wine is crafted with 100% gravity flow, fermented in a combination of concrete and stainless steel tanks and barreled down to air dried French oak before being bottled unfiltered. With an impressive track record with the 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages, you will not want to miss the 2013 Silencieux Cabernet Sauvignon, as it is simply delicious!
