Principal's Podium Eureka Devers, Principal
Greetings Advantage Academy Families!
Hello, hope all is well with our AA Grand Prairie families. We have just completed benchmark testing and are excited for you to discuss the results with your student and his/her teachers. Our campus is striving for 100% attendance with students and staff! It is important to be punctual and ready daily because one of things you cannot recycle is wasted time. Please help us reach our goal.
We are also presently doing re- enrollment for current students. The forms have been sent home with your students Please sign and return as soon as possible to your student's 3rd period teacher. The deadline is Feb. 13, 2015.
Please note, that we will be having Saturday School and our ESL FAMILY Literary Day on February 7, 2015, from 8:00 -12:00 p.m.
Please be aware that we will be having ZAP Thursdays (Zeros Aren't Permitted) starting Thursday, Feb. 12. These days are for makeup assignments. Teachers will notify students of said dates.
Look for details of all the upcoming elementary events in your student's Thursday Exchange folder weekly.
Please remember to be courteous at drop off and dismissal by dropping off and picking up your students in the right hand lane; leaving the left lane open for passing. We have had several complaints about drivers cutting cars off by jumping in front of them to drop students off at the last minute. Please note, you MUST have your student's pick-up card visible.
Also, please remember, the last elementary dismissal begins at 3:30 and ends at 3:45. All Elementary students must be picked up by 3:45 before middle school dismissal begins. Students are counted tardy at 8 a.m. and tardies eliminate perfect attendance.
Mrs. Asusena Rios, M. Ed.
Advantage Academy Grand Prairie Assistant Principal

Soaring Eagle Compliment Cards
Tell us something good!
Is there a staff or faculty member that you think deserves to be recognized for a job well done? Did someone go above and beyond to help out? Tell us about it!! We have compliment card boxes currently in the main office and at the elementary secretary's desk.
It only takes a moment but has a huge impact on the staff or faculty member to find out someone noticed their hard work. We would love to hear from you! Parents, students and visitors are invited to compliment our hardworking staff and faculty! |
