Meet MCPL

Lunden Gillespie has been with MCPL as a Library Associate at the Rockville Memorial Library for a little over a year. She is tasked with providing outreach to the Rockville, Aspen Hill, and Twinbrook communities. Whether visiting schools, local senior centers, or community events, she promotes MCPL resources, services, and programs to the public.

The Aspen Hill community is excited about its new branch manager, Angelisa Hawes, who began her position on April 21, 2014. One customer noted, "She presents immediately as a very cordial and adroit leader, incisive, observant, keeping both the 50,000 foot commanding view and the agility to peer at details at ground level at a moment's shift with ease."

Eric Horwitz is the Library Associate working on outreach for the Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington Park, Little Falls, and Noyes library areas. Based out of the Bethesda Library, Eric's work takes him around the community where he shares information about MCPL programs and services. Eric has been with MCPL since November 2013.

Steve Warrick began his new assignment of managing the Poolesville

branch on April 21, 2014. Steve was formerly the assistant branch manager at the Olney branch. He has already learned a great deal about the community and is hoping to engage the community in more branch activities. Steve has considerable skills and experience in the field of oral history and has taken the lead in helping MCPL develop an oral history program, including collecting several oral histories at the closing ceremony of Silver Spring Library.
