From the Director

This is the season of thanksgiving - - - a time to reflect on the many wonderful things we have in our lives; to thank those for whom services we have benefited, and to find ways in which we can help others.

I want to take this opportunity to thank those who have served and are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.  Because of your commitment, sacrifices and bravery, we are able to enjoy many freedoms.

Libraries Matter

Thank you to MCPL supporters; because of you, the message has been heard loud and clear - - - LIBRARIES MATTER.  To our stakeholders, thank you for hearing the message and responding.  A huge thank you to all our customers; we appreciate the confidence you place in us.

I want to also thank the talented, highly skilled MCPL staff who provides quality customer service to Montgomery County's large and diverse population.  The staff of MCPL is always looking for ways to enhance customer service and better our communities.

This year, through the County's Community Service Day initiative, MCPL was able to help provide assistance to many residents of Montgomery County.  Thank you, MCPL staff, for your donations to support the efforts of the Manna Food Center.

This commemorative month, declared on August 3, 1990 by President George H.W.
