Greetings!
We are working feverishly to prepare for the upcoming legislative session where I am thrilled to be representing the new 57th House District. Today I am sending a mailing to all of my new constituents outlining my legislative agenda and what I expect in the session that begins January 14th. (Click here for PDF) Healthcare will continue to be a focus for me as Georgia struggles to find revenue for Medicaid and health benefits for state employees and teachers. Renewal of an assessment on hospitals, how to provide healthcare for the nearly 2 million working families in Georgia with no coverage, and an advance directive or crisis plan for mental health patients will be at the top of my agenda. As a member of the Committees on Transportation, Natural Resources, Appropriations, and Higher Education, it will be a busy year. Issues specific to the Fulton County Commission and the Redistricting of the APS school district will also be important. As humbled and honored as I am to serve, it does not come cheaply. In order to meet the budget for mailings, interns, data management, I must raise a minimum of $10,000 BEFORE the Legislative Session convenes on January 14th. I am asking you to please consider making a contribution to my campaign account of $250, $500 or $1,000 before that deadline. You are a good friend and supporter and I greatly appreciate your continued assistance in our efforts. Warmly,
Rep. Pat Gardner 404 873-6208 |
