PCEF Awards $165,000 in School Site Grants!

Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our volunteers and donors, we are able to award $165,000 in School Site Grants for the 2014 - 2015 school year. We are thrilled to be able to fund programs that make a significant impact on student achievement!

School Site Grants are requested by school principals for programs and needs that reach an entire grade, department, or school. This year's grants cover programs such as Author in Residence, the National Competition Fund, and Robotics at the High School, Visual Art in the elementary schools, Music and Dual Immersion at Ecker Hill, and Shakespeare-in-the-School at Treasure Mountain.

PCEF's Raise the Bar Initiative: Support for Every Elementary Student

Park City elementary students deserve to have the best education possible. We need your help right now to make a good education great.

PCEF is working with the school district to raise funds to have an Elementary Gifted and High Ability Specialist in each of our 4 elementary schools. Currently there is only 1 specialist servicing all 4 schools. Due to this limitation, the specialist is only able to serve identified Gifted Students. However, if we are able to raise enough funds to have a specialist in each building - all students will be served!

Please take a moment to discover what it will mean to have a High Achieving Specialist in each school. Together, we can bring added services, and increased academic rigor, for all students.

Click here for detailed information about how this initiative will affect students.  Consider supporting the initiative by donating at (Please write Raise the Bar in the comments section.)

Excellent Educator Express Was A Tremendous Success!

Led by the PCHS Jazz Band, the Excellent Educator Express hit PCSD last month. Seven inspiring teachers were the surprised recipients of the Doilney Excellent Educator Awards, sponsored by Deer Valley Resort. In addition, PCHS Chemistry teacher Maureen Amendola won the Sarah and Steven Doilney Award, sponsored by the Doilney Family.

As Superintendent Dr. Conley said, "It was the best day yet." It was a great day, with celebrations at every school, honoring these educators who work so hard to give our students the best education possible. All the winners were quick to give credit to their colleagues as well.

For pictures and more details, go to the Excellent Educator page on our website. You can also read all about it in this article from the Park Record. Thank you to Deer Valley Resort and the Doilney Family for funding these awards!
