Dear Parents: For those of you who have already donated $180 per student during school registration, thank you! We truly appreciate your contribution and will not call you during our annual Phone-a-Thon. If you have not yet donated, take a look at our website, pcef4kids.org, to see all of the ways PCEF invests into our children's education. Did you know PCEF grants touch 96% of the students in our district? PCEF grants help advance your student's achievement. If every parent donated just $1 per school day, $180 per student, we could truly make a difference in the education of every child. This is our appeal to you.
To make that difference, DONATE HERE. Thank you! P.S. Remember, you can designate your gift to your school, teacher grants, or toward district wide programs.

You Can Make a Difference for Park City Schools!
If 100% of parents donated $1 per school day that would give us over $700,000 to invest in our schools!
If you did not donate during school registration, donate online at www.pcef4kids.org. |

PCEF Funding Focus - Author in Residence PCHS Principal Bob O'Connor, English Teacher Melissa Nikolai, Ryan Smithson, and PCHS Vice-Principal Bob Edmiston
Ryan Smithson, this year's PCHS/PCEF Author-in-Residence, was a huge hit at the High School last week. The audience at the Community Event last Wednesday night was touched by his emotional, heart-felt talk about being a soldier and a writer. He connected in the same way with the students over the next two days in their English classes. PCHS English teacher Melissa Nikolai noted, "The Author in Residence program is powerful because it's the only time that the entire student body has the opportunity to read the same book, thus giving students a common voice to connect to their peer community. This year's program was especially impactful because the author, Ryan Smithson, was one who related to the kids and demonstrated the embodiment of how one person can make a difference." It is because of your donations that PCEF can provide funding for programs like this! |
The Red Apple Gala is Sold Out!
Thanks to a tremendous response from the community, tickets for the Red Apple Gala, hosted by Montage Deer Valley and presented by Zions Bank, have sold out! The Gala is PCEF's biggest fundraiser of the year, with all proceeds going toward our grant programs. It is sure to be a fabulous evening of dining, dancing, silent and live auctions. If you aren't able to attend, you can still support the cause by purchasing opportunity drawing tickets. St Regis, Stein Eriksen Lodge, Hotel Park City, Montage Deer Valley, and the Waldorf Astoria have each donated a basket, worth a minimum of $750. Last year, the baskets contained items such as logo wear, a night's stay, spa treatment, or even lift tickets! Opportunity Drawing Tickets are available here. We at PCEF would like to express our thanks and gratitude to everyone who has already contributed to the success of the event - attendees, auction item donors, and the hard working committee of volunteers. We can't wait for October 6th! |
Anti-Bullying Campaign and Coalition
PCEF, along with many community partners, is pleased to be a part of the Anti-Bullying Coalition in Park City. A FREE screening of the movie 'Bully' will be showing at the Jim Santy auditorium this Thursday September 13th. On September 14th, all Ecker, Treasure, and PCHS students will attend free screenings during the school day at the Eccles Center, courtesy of the Utah Film Series. Look for many other events throughout the year!
