Director Notes...

Spring has finally arrived and we are changing the décor of the center from a winter wonderland to a blooming spring theme.

With the nicer weather approaching please make sure you go through your child(ren)s extra clothing and change them over to weather appropriate clothing.

I have sent out the consent forms for sunscreen already. Please make sure you fill in the specific brand of sunscreen that you bring in box number 4.

Please bring in updated family photos, if you have not already. We hang them up in the classrooms and the children love to look at them throughout the day.

Also, remember to bring in tissues once a month and check your child's daily sheets for any supplies they may be running low on or are out of.

Reminder Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th thru May 10th!

African Safari

04InfMay In the African Safari for "Disney" week, the infants did lots of fun things! We colored pictures of the Little Mermaid and had fun making handprint mouse ears for Mickey Mouse day and listened and danced to lots of Disney songs. When the weather was warm, we went outside on the porch and played with our outdoor toys. Boy, did we miss doing that during the wintertime!

Tropical Paradise

In the Tropical Paradise we were creeping all around the room during "Creepy, Crawler, Critter" week. We made spiders with pipe cleaners and painted egg carton ants. We enjoyed coloring caterpillar pictures and loved dancing and singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider and crawling all around like spiders.

Land Down Under

The Land down Under was very busy during "Earth Week". The children learned all about recycling. We even looked for recycled materials on the playground that were hidden. 04PreKMayAnother activity we did was sorting our recyclables from paper to plastic. Our favorite part was making art out of recyclable material such as plastic spoons and plastic lids. During "Zoo" week we talked about what a zoo keeper's job is. We made zoo animal prints with paint and made cages out of wooden blocks. We also talked about other animals found at the zoo such as elephants, lions and monkey's. We had tons of fun playing monkey in the middle!
