This environmentally-minded music program will accommodate even the youngest music-fan-in-training*. Our classes include original compositions and all-time faves selected to inform and entertain everyone (you too, Moms, Dads, and caregivers!) With help from our signature Ballibrary (a carefully compiled assortment of spheres) and inspiring instruments recycled from common household objects, simultaneous to a swinging good time, students will be bolstering size, shape and tactile discrimination, gross motor skills, rhythm and reflex abilities and auditory development. There is little time to languish when you're a growing Rug Bug: dynamic ditties and compelling curios reinforce our eco-conscious outlook; without giving too much away, we suggest you come prepared to rock your socks off! And, while our musical medleys may alternate effortlessly between gentle and jamming, one thing's for sure: there is never a dull moment in a Rug Bug Music experience.

Learn and have fun! Mommy and Me Classes are a highly interactive experience, with an emphasis on mindful parenting, attachment theory and a relational approach to optimizing your baby's development. This ongoing group meets weekly for 90-minute classes throughout your baby's first year. The approach to parenting is individual; access the wisdom of your instincts and heart, while calming your new mom worries about "getting it right."
Find new and supportive friendships with other moms and have fun, as you learn songs and play designed to nurture attachment and learning. Topics presented will reflect the needs of each group, and will include guidance for regulating your baby's sleep routine, feeding, developmental play and childcare. Later topics explore new studies regarding language acquisition, temperament, praise and the power of imaginative play. As babies' personality starts to emerge, a series on how to keep communication open and model empathy during difficult moments will be presented. The discussions will include support for the profound adjustment to new roles as mother and wife/partner.

Looking for a prepared childbirth class series where both you and Dad-to-be, or your other birth partner, will feel welcome? This four-week series covers important information you both need for a clear understanding of the process of labor and birth. Classes include interactive lectures on anatomy, an overview of labor, nutrition during pregnancy, false versus true labor, preterm labor and warning signs, simulations of and videos on the birth process, and natural pain management techniques including breathing and relaxation. We will also cover medication options, cesarean birth, and normal newborn characteristics in an educational and engaging format.
