- Provide tips for how to prepare your child for their new brother or sister.
- Help you think about how to plan for your child's care while you are in labor
- Plan for how to introduce your child to your new baby
- Learn how to prepare your home to ease juggling the needs of two children
- Teach you normal developmental reactions and how to help your older child with their adjustment.
- Help you facilitate a smooth-as-possible transition in the first few weeks of being a family of four or more.

Myth Busters: What is it Really Like After Baby Arrives? with Dr. Jill Campbell
Why didn't anybody talk to us about this before the baby was born? This is the most common protest that I hear in my new moms' support class! Right now you are expecting a baby and you have probably been busy finding a good obstetrician and doula, taking childbirth preparation and baby care classes, and getting your baby registry together. All those things are certainly important, but have you taken a moment to ask any of the following questions: What is the best way to bond as a new family right after baby comes home? What are the signs to be aware for postpartum depression and is it true that dads can experience PPD as well? How do you nourish your relationship as a couple when you are both in the throws of caring for a newborn? These are just a few of the questions that new parents wished they thought about before baby arrived!
This workshop is designed for expecting couples to explore ahead of time the expectations and realities of what life will be like once baby is here. Talking about what parenting is really like - busting myths like "breastfeeding is easy and comes naturally" - will help you prepare for parenthood in a way that having the best diaper cake or baby wipe warmer just won't do.  FREE Stroller Strides demo class meets at the Pump Station at 9:00 and then we will head over together to Douglas Park for the cardio and strength training part of our workout (resistance bands will be provided) and then back to the Pump Station for abs, stretching, and chatting! We will also have some snacks from LUNA and other treats from FIT4MOM partners. - Make sure to wear good workout shoes, a supportive bra and bring water.
- If you have an older child you may want to bring snacks or a special toy for them to play with as all children under 4 yrs old will need to stay in their strollers for safety during our workout.
- Registration fees will be waived for anyone who signs up for Monthly Membership after the demo class!
