Having a baby with different needs can be both wonderful and challenging, and this class will give parents some of the tools to conquer these challenges. Learn how to enhance your child's sensory-motor development, the basics of obtaining therapeutic services for your child, the importance of Early Intervention, and meet other families that may be going through similar experiences. This purpose of this class is to provide support, resources, and a nurturing environment for babies with special needs and their families!

Parents often have many questions when it comes to their baby's mouth: How old should my child be when s/he first visits a dentist? Can breastfed babies get "milk bottle syndrome?" When do I start dental hygiene and what does that "mean?" Should I be giving my baby fluoride supplements? Is the amber necklace really a magic teething helper? In this workshop, we will answer all of your dental health questions for your baby or young child. We will also provide you with in-depth information on what to expect for your child's oral growth and development, how to perfect your oral hygiene techniques, and what to do in case there is dental trauma. All of the basics will be covered! In addition we will provide each family an informational booklet and samples of oral hygiene items that can simplify your child's dental hygiene routine.
