NEW! Opportunity to Participate in Celiac Research Alan Goldsobel, MD, in San Jose will be conducting a research study for a potential treatment for celiac disease on behalf of Alvine Pharmaceuticals in San Carlos. The study drug, when taken with meals, degrades gluten up to 96% and renders the peptides non-immunogenic. The study is currently recruiting interested participants, ages 18-80, with a history of MD-diagnosed celiac disease, previous positive endoscopy, who are on a gluten free diet, but still having breakthrough symptoms. The study med is taken 3 times a day with meals. There will be 2 endoscopies during the study. All of this is at no charge to the subject and they are compensated for their time.
