AITSL Announcement
Welcome from the National Executive Director
ACHPER presents National Health and Physical Education (HPE) Day on Wednesday September 14, 2016.  A nationwide initiative, National HPE Day highlights the importance of HPE in the Australian Curriculum, and its influence on the learning and development of children. Learning in HPE makes an important, positive difference to students and their lifelong participation and health outcomes.

The theme, Good for Children, Good for Schools, Good for Communities, is being celebrated over three years and this year's event will focus on how HPE is 'good for communities'.  ACHPER encourages schools and children to celebrate and presents a call to action to showcase your involvement to #HPEday.  I encourage you to visit hpeday.com.au for further information.

National HPE Day will be celebrated on Wednesday September 14, 2016 with a focus on HPE: Good for Communities

We have produced some short videos to explain more about National HPE Day, and to detail what others are planning to do to celebrate this important event.

Celebrate the Rio 2016 Paralympics on National HPE Day by trying modified games and sports to provide children with an understanding of different skills and abilities
