Greetings!
Welcome to our August 2013 Newsletter. Following the sale of our patented Pd micro-channel purifiers business to SAES Pure Gas, Inc. last April, we've been quite busy directing our efforts to new business endeavors. Here's a peak at some of our activities...

100 Hydrogen Separators Order for China
China Aqueous Group Ltd. of Shanghai placed an order in August for 100 of Power + Energy's Micro-Channel Hydrogen Separators. The order is the first of what is hoped to be many future orders from this new customer. The hydrogen separators will produce Nine 9's pure hydrogen, with less than 1 ppb carbon monoxide, for fuel cells that will produce backup power at mobile communications base stations during grid outages. Each Separator uses P+E's patented Micro-Channel Palladium Alloy Membranes to extract hydrogen from the feed stream. This fuel cell technology represents a superior power backup option over antiquated generator and battery equipment.

HEMS Instrument Trials at Air Liquide for Hydrogen Analysis
This summer, P+E proudly delivered its first Hydrogen Elimination Mass Spectroscopy (HEMS) instrument for trials at a global R&D facility for Air Liquide. The staff at this test location is responsible for qualifying and recommending instruments for Air Liquide's internal use. They've been quite keen to try the HEMS product because it represents a breakthrough in the measurement of impurities in hydrogen. Until now, no single technology could measure all relevant impurities in H2, HEMS would be a breakthrough for specialty gas manufacturers who must provide certifications. P+E is eager receive this important customer's feedback and refine the HEMS instrument for future, worldwide sales.
