Hynor Lillestrom To Use H2 Purifier for Refueling Station
Hynor has received a PE9000C Series purifier for use at a hydrogen refueling station in Lillestr�m, Norway. Hynor Lillestr�m AS is responsible for the overall design, construction, and operation of the station with on-site hydrogen production based on renewable energy sources.
The purifier will purify 97% hydrogen from a biogas stream to purity levels that surpass the SAE J2719 purity specification for fuel cell technology. This specification requires < 0.2 ppm CO, and palladium membrane separation is the best method to remove impurities from biogas and other low-grade hydrogen sources to ppb levels.
PE9000C Series Hydrogen Purifier
One of the main objectives with the HyNor Lillestr�m project is to demonstrate new hydrogen production and compression technology developed in Norway. A sorption enhanced steam methane reformer (SESMR) system developed by the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) will be used to convert landfill gas (upgraded to biogas quality) to hydrogen. A thermally-driven metal hydride hydrogen compressor will also be demonstrated.
Hynor Lillestr�m AS is a company that was established with the objective to build and operate the HyNor hydrogen station at Lillestr�m. The vision for HyNor Lillestr�m AS is to increase the focus on hydrogen technology, and to create new jobs in the area. An important step towards reaching this goal is to use the HyNor infrastructure to demonstrate new hydrogen technology developed by Norwegian research institutes and companies over the past few years.
Jiangxi Lianchuang Takes Delivery of PE9000C Series Purifier
P+E recently shipped a PE9000C Series purifier to Jiangxi Lianchuang Optoelectronics Science and Technology Company (Lianovation). The purifier will support a process tool at their facility in the Nanchang High-Tech District in Jangxi, China. The 9000C Series purifier includes micro-channel palladium membrane technology with automatic operation to provide high purity hydrogen from low quality inlet sources. Wah Lee Industrial, our regional distributor, will provide customer support in China.
Jiangxi Lianchuang provides InGaN LED epitaxial wafers and chips, optoelectronic wire cables, relays and communication and information services. They are a leading member of the National Torch Program and the research center of Nanchang Semiconductor Lighting Engineering.

Representatives from P+E will also attend to provide technical support to important attendees from the LED, solar cell, power device and RF electronics industry. HEMS H2 analyzer and New PH2d Hydrogen Purifier on Display at Pittcon Conference
P+E will be displaying products for the analytical instrumentation industry at the Pittcon Conference on March 17-21 in Philadelphia, PA. See our new HEMS hydrogen analyzer that measures the full spectrum of impurities in hydrogen to < 1 ppt. We will also display our new PH2d hydrogen purifier for carrier gases used in GC's. The purifier lets you use industrial grade H2 to achieve the lowest baseline levels for advanced GC analysis. We look forward to seeing you there.
