2010 was an exciting year for Power + Energy with some key achievements - 

• Successful launching of the PE9000MZ range of purifiers
• Appointing three new partners to strengthen field sales and service support
• Making further significant contributions in the field of alternative energy
• Strengthening our management team through the appointment of an experienced industry veteran to the new role of President and COO.

Since its launch in May 2010, Power + Energy have received multiple orders for its new PE9000MZ range of hydrogen purifiers.  PE9000MZ purifiers are currently being installed at LED manuacturers, at solar cell manufacturers and at semiconductor manufacturers in China, Taiwan, Japan, and Germany.

The company will soon announce the first installation of a PE9000MZ purifier at a vehicle fueling site in the US, following the successful installation of earlier purifier models at fuel cell test and vehicle fueling sites.

The PE9000MZ employs Power + Energy's unique micro-channel palladium purification technology to produce 99.9999999% pure hydrogen from any industrial hydrogen source at the lowest cost of ownership.

Equipped with the Z-purge nitrogen purge control cabinet to meet Class I Div 2 specification, the PE9000MZ range is designed to cater to high volume hydrogen users making these purifiers uniquely suitable for today's large scale LED and PV manufacturing operations and for vehicle fueling applications.  The purifiers can be configured to allow for in-field capacity upgrades to allow users to easily expand capacity as their need for high purity hydrogen increases.

WahLee Industrial Corp. (www.wahlee.com), S3 Alliance (www.s3-alliance.com) and HS Inc. (www.hi-sol.com) all joined the Power + Energy family during 2010.  Each company provides sales and service support for Power + Energy's products to customers in specific geographic regions.  WahLee services customers in China and Taiwan, S3 services customers in Europe, while HS Inc. provides support to Korean customers.  These three firms join existing Power + Energy partners Vacuum Solutions Group (www.vacuumsolutions.com) (Eastern US) Sales Northeast (www.salesnortheast.com) (New England), and Fujitec International (www.fujitec-int.com) (Japan).

Highlights for 2010 include

• In October, the Hawaii Fuel Cell Test Center completed the installation of a Power + Energy purifier at its facility in Oahu.  This installation will support the center's important long term fuel cell testing programs by ensuring consistently high purity hydrogen is available to the researchers from either primary or backup hydrogen sources.

• Throughout the year, Power + Energy supplied numerous hydrogen separators into Department of Energy sponsored hydrogen recovery projects.  Power + Energy's separators are uniquely capable of effiiciently recovering high purity hydrogen from reformed fuels, syn-gas, coal-gas, and bio-gas streams with hydrogen concentrations as low as 30%.

• Power + Energy also delivered separators for several projects requiring the separation of hydrogen from reformed diesel for military and marine auxiliary power projects.

In March, Power + Energy was pleased to announce that Noel Leeson had joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Noel Leeson has 20+ years of experience in the industrial gases and electronics industries.  Most recently, he headed the Electronic Gases business of Linde AG, the leading industrial gas supplier.  He has lived and worked in the United States, Europe and Asia, and has extensive experience in developing and growing businesses with global potential.

Commenting on the appointment, Power + Energy's Chairman and CEP Peter Bossard said, " Power + Energy has reached a critical stage in its development.  Noel Leeson is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in our key markets who will lead Power + Energy through the next phase of its growth".
