Angel Tree Breakfast and Celebration

The Angel Tree Christmas program is a well-loved tradition at Saint Paul's Church. Our Christmas Outreach ministry serves the children in our mentoring program at Craig-Houghton Elementary and their siblings.

The children are in need of essential items like warm pajamas and undergarments, and we would also love to provide them with a couple of fun treats like a new book and toy to brighten their Christmas. To meet the needs of our children this year, we are using a Christmas practice used by many families:

Each child in our program will receive one fun gift (the one thing you want), a gift bag filled with socks, underwear, toothbrush, toothpaste, and grooming items (the one thing you need), a pair of warm pajamas (the one thing to wear), and a new book (the one thing to read).

The children will be invited to our church on Saturday, December 12th at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate Christmas and to fellowship with our parish family. We will gather in Tyler Hall to enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast, cookie decorating, hot cocoa bar, craft making, story time, and music. At the end of our party, the children will be presented with their gifts. Please join us for a special celebration that is guaranteed to fill you with the Christmas spirit!

Our Angel Tree program provides us with a wonderful opportunity to serve children in our church neighborhood in a very personal way. This is a school family that our church has been reaching out to in many ways. I believe that we have an opportunity to really impact the lives of these children and to truly be the hands of Christ. Please prayerfully consider how you might get involved this year. How You Can Get Involved

1. Pick up an Angel at church and shop for a requested item. Each child will have an Angel tag for each item listed above. You can pick one item or several!

2. Make a donation and let us do the shopping for you.

3. Volunteer to help with shopping for the children's gifts and items needed for the party. Please join us for our annual Angel Tree Shopping Party. We will have a group of volunteers meeting at Target on Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway at 10 AM, Wednesday, December 9th. It is a fun morning of shopping and preparation followed by lunch at a nearby restaurant.

4. Volunteer at the Angel Tree Breakfast and Christmas Party

Saturday, December 12th at 9:00 am. You can volunteer to help with set up, signing children in, cooking, providing hospitality to the children and families, helping with cookie decorating and crafts, and cleanup. There are many ways to get involved, and we welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities!
