Meeting

This WeekendSeptember 25-26

This weekend we will welcome 3,000 athletes from all over the world and their family and friends to our church neighborhood. The Augusta Ironman 70.3 kicks off next door to Saint Paul's and gives us a unique opportunity to open our doors and show others the love and hospitality that we have in our church home.

  • 5:30 PM Saturday night Saint Paul's/TriAugusta Pasta dinner
If you would like to volunteer as a server or to greet and welcome guests, we welcome your participation.
  • 5:00 AM Sunday morning River Room opens for hospitality. The Church opens for prayer and meditation.
  • After the 11 AM service Sunday, we invite you to walk over to Broad Street and join us at our Saint Paul's Cheer Station
We will be there throughout the afternoon cheering on the athletes as they complete the last leg of their event, the run.  We have a number of athletes from Saint Paul's participating in the race so this is your chance to help encourage your fellow parishioners and the other athletes as they head toward the finish line!

Iron Man Traffic InstructionsSeptember 27
The largest Half Ironman in the world comes to town this Sunday.  It's a great weekend for the Saint Paul's neighborhood.  Traffic is well organized for this event.  You should experience very little delays getting to church following these instructions, however, as always, it's best to give yourself a few extra minutes to get to church next Sunday.

Traveling from South Carolina:  The 5th Street Bridge & Gordon Highway ramps will be closed, therefore, you should use the 13th Street Bridge or Riverwatch Parkway.  One lane for traffic will be open on Reynolds St. all the way from 13th St. to the church.
Traveling from Walton Way:  From Walton Way, the best route will be from St. Sebastian.  Take a right on Broad, left on 13th, right on Reynolds. One lane for traffic will be open on Reynolds St. all the way from 13th St. to the church.
Traveling from other areas of Augusta:  The Run Course moves along 13th St. from Greene to Broad meaning this two lane street will have only one lane open.  The same is true for Reynolds.  The best route will be to travel 13th St. to Reynolds.  Broad St. will be completely closed from 13th St. and below.  Gordon Highway ramps will be closed at Broad St. and Bay St. until 6:00 p.m.
Traveling to the Celtic Service: The race is wrapping up at this point however, there will be many people still in the race area.  The traffic instructions are the same for this service.  We have been assured one lane open all the way down Reynolds to the church.
