The Canterbury Choir Lock-In
Friday, August 22 - Saturday, August 23
The Canterbury Choir (children in grades 3-9) began rehearsals last Wednesday. It's not too late to join the choir. Rehearsals continue Wednesdays, 4:45-6:00 pm. This weekend's Lock-In is a great opportunity to give the choir a try.  Click here for information about the Canterbury Choir and Lock-In.  Contact Keith Shafer to let him know of your interest.
Master's Table Soup Kitchen
Saturday, August 22, 8:30 AM - 12:30 P
M
The Master's Table Soup Kitchen located at 702 Fenwick Street serves 150 -200 hot meals daily.  This Saturday Saint Paul's will prepare and sponsor the Master's Table Meal.  All ages are encouraged to participate.  Children as young as 8 may volunteer with a parent.  First shift from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. will cook and set up ; second shift from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. will serve.  Contact Marilyn Grau for more information.

This Sunday's Special Music
Sunday morning's guest musician will be Melissa Larkin Schultz. Ms. Schultz holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina and is a licensed Musikgarten teacher. She directs the St. Nicholas Choir of Saint Paul's Church and succeeded Sarah Pritchard as Music Associate.
Children, Youth, and Families Meeting
Sunday, August 23, 12 Noon - 2 P
M, Tyler Hall
The Children, Youth, and Families Committee (CYFC) will meet this Sunday, August 23, immediately following the 11 AM service in Tyler Hall. Please bring a dish to share. This will be a working lunch to complete Christian Formation classroom planning. If you are teaching Christian Formation this year or are interested in serving in our children and youth programs, please join us. Contact Todd Shafer for more information.

New Parish Directory
New Parish  Directory Team 
We're excited to announce that we will have a new Parish Directory.  Help us to build a tool that will put names with faces and ensure we have updated contact information for all our parishioners.

Photography
We will use Lifetouch Photography to complete our Parish Directory. Photography dates at Saint Paul's are October 13-17.  

We will begin scheduling appointments Sunday, September 13.  Please stop by the table in the Narthex on Sunday morning beginning September 13th or at our parish dinner in the River Room following the 11:00 AM service on September 13th.  

For your convenience we will also provide a link in the Weekly Postings and on our website so that you may schedule an appointment on-line.  These links will be available September 4th.

Saint Paul's Book Club

Saint Paul's Ironman Gear Drop Team

Ironman 70.3 Volunteers are needed to commit to work the Swim Start Gear Drop Area located on the river behind Saint Paul's Church. The event will be on the morning of Sunday, September 27 and will require volunteers to work during the early morning in checking in participants' gear before they begin the swim portion of the competition. This will be Saint Paul's signature participation in the Ironman event. Acolyte Festival
Sunday, August 30, 12 noon - 2 PM
The Saint Paul's Acolyte Festival will be held Sunday, August 30, 12-2 PM. Anyone age 8 and up interested in becoming an acolyte and all current acolytes are invited. Lunch will be served in Tyler Hall with training following in the church. Contact Todd Shafer to register. 
Summer vacation will soon be over.
Our choirs
will be returning for the new season September 13th.
