EfM returns to Saint Paul's: Information MeetingSunday, August 9, 12:15 PM, Tyler Hall
God calls every baptized person to ministry. Our church takes God's call seriously, which is why The School of Theology at Sewanee developed the Education for Ministry (EfM) formation program. EfM offers you the breadth and depth of our Christian tradition and brings it into direct conversation with your personal experience of the world through study, worship, and theological reflection. An EfM "group" includes six twelve members who gather weekly with a group guide for approximately three hours, seven months of the year for four successive years. EfM is a significant program AND it is no less wonderful, formative, and fun!
Click on these links to explore the new study guide--Unit 1--and peruse the Reading Schedule. The cost is approximately $350 per participant per year, which includes all books, accompanying study-guide materials, and guidance from a trained group mentor. I invite you to pray and discern whether it is time for you to begin EfM. Although I will host information sessions in Tyler Hall on August 2nd at 10 AM and August 9th at 12:15 AM, do not hesitate to contact me at jjenkins@saintpauls.org or call the office; I am at ext. #205. |
Name Tags You'll notice Sunday morning, we have moved the Name Tag Rack outside to the West Portico. Please help John and Bess (and your neighbors in the pew) get to know you by name by wearing your name tag.
If you do not find your tag, please complete a yellow request form that you will find in the Narthex or request one from an usher. We also have blank single-use name tags available for your visiting friends, family, and neighbors. |
