Saint Paul's Book Club Thursday, January 22, 10:00 a.m., Tyler Hall
Saint Paul's Book Club will be meeting at its regular time; the fourth Thursday, January 22 at 10:00 A.M. Light refreshments will be served. Come join us as we discuss the novel, Guests On Earth by Lee Smith. The novel is set in a mental institution for the well-to-do; the story is based on the hospital Highlands in Asheville, NC. It's most famous guest was Zelda Fitzgerald, but she is not the center of the story. This is a well-told story of people who meet--both guests/patients and staff--and how they affect each other's lives. The plot is intricate and involving. Like all good novels, it offers insights that help the reader gain new perspectives on life. This should be a lively discussion. New members are always welcome! For more information: contact Anita Tanner. |
