Welcome Meredith Beach
We welcome Meredith Beach to our Parish staff.  She will be serving as our part-time accountant.  In that role Meredith will be handling all aspects of our parish budget income and expense.  In this role she will be working with the Parish Treasurer, Finance Committee, and Interim - Rector.

Meredith comes to us with a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia. She has worked many years in the accounting field, both in employment and volunteer capacities.

Meredith is from Augusta, is married to Scott Beach and has two children - Jay, 13 and Anne Brodie, 10. She and her family attend Trinity-on-the Hill United Methodist Church. She looks forward to working with the staff and parishioners of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church.

Calling All Angels!

Saint Paul's Angel Tree kicks off 
this Sunday!!

This year we will be providing books, toys, and needed school and clothing items to children in need at Craig-Houghton Elementary School. Angels will be available on the front portico before and after the 11 o'clock service.

Tuesday's Music Live

Tuesday's Music Live, America's largest luncheon concert series, continues its 27th season with a free concert by Emil Altschuler, Violin and Artem Belogurov, Piano, on Tuesday, November 18, 12:00 noon. Lunch following the concert is being catered by Edgar's Grille and advance reservations can be made by calling the Box Office at (706) 722-3463 or on the Tuesday's Music Live website:  www.TuesdaysMusicLive.com.
Manna Pantry
Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22
Our next Manna Pantry is scheduled Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd. Families with children are welcome to join parishioners of all ages to help in this ministry. Friday afternoon the food is delivered and unloaded from the truck, boxes are assembled, and food organized from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday morning, recipients are registered, and food distributed from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. The Gathering (Adults Under 50)
Next Sunday, Sunday November 23, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
The Fall Gathering will be held next Sunday, November 23, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the home of Kim and Eddie Butler. Don't miss this chance to hang out around the fire and enjoy white chicken chili with all the toppings.  Please RSVP here or by calling the Parish Office by Friday November 21.

Looking Ahead 

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Wednesday, November 26, 7:00 p.m.
Before the parade, turkey, football, and shopping, GIVE THANKS for your many blessings.  Bring your family and friends to the Thanksgiving Eve Eucharist at 7:00 p.m. The Saint Paul's and Canterbury Choirs will sing and loaves of blessed bread, for use at the Thanksgiving meal the next day, will be given to everyone in attendance. We will collect an offering of canned goods and plate offerings will be given to (DCCM) Downtown Cooperative Church Ministries Food Pantry.  Join us in giving thanks on this national and religious holiday.
Summer Mission Trips for Youth
We are in the process of planning Summer Missions for grades four and above. We need to gauge interest in these activities. Please contact Eleanor Smolen if you are interested in participating.
A Survey For All Women
All women of Saint Paul's are requested to take a short ECW (Episcopal Church Women) Survey found here. Print Copies will be available from the ushers this Sunday. This survey seeks to discern the needs and priorities of our parish ministries for women. Please take a few minutes to provide your input. We would like to have a broad and comprehensive response from the parish.
New Outreach Ministry
The Outreach Committee is considering a new ministry to reach out to those in our community who have limited resources and would like help in managing their money. This training would include topics like preparing a budget and tips on how to spend wisely. We hope to offer follow up with one-on-one help. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry please e-mail Al Yarbrough or by telephone (706) 863-6785.
EYC Ski Trip January 16-18, 2015
Deposits and forms are due by the end of November

ALL High School and College Students are invited to attend a Ski Trip weekend retreat in West Virginia on January 16-18, 2015.  It will be a fun weekend of bonding, skiing and worship! Deposits and forms are due by the end of November. Financial assistance is available.  Please see Eleanor Smolen for details.  
Make an Advent Wreath

Advent begins Sunday, November 30th. Join us in Tyler Hall at 10:00 a.m. to make an Advent Wreath for your home. All supplies will be provided, including wreath, live greens, and candles. $10 donation.

Sunday, December 28, is an open Sunday for Altar Flowers. If you are interested in sponsoring the flowers in thanksgiving or memory of someone special please contact Lynn Mays  or Clint Carroll.
