 "All y'all come unto me":

Bishop Curry talks about the Eucharist

Michael Curry, bishop of the Diocese of North Carolina, offers a thoughtful and powerful conversation about the Eucharist and how the message of the Eucharist is one of the most powerful things our Church has to offer.  It is well worth your time to watch.

The Scholar Priest Initiative is producing a series of videos "to communicate -- clearly, compellingly -- what The Episcopal Church believes and does, to 'show and tell' our way of faith and our way of life." The series will feature "everyday Episcopalians addressing and exemplifying what we believe and how that belief shapes the way we live." The first video, on the Eucharist, features Bishop Michael Curry.

Thoughts From the Evangelism/Marketing Committee

We all know these symbols.  They say not a word; yet they speak volumes.  They evoke feelings of pride, dependability, excitement, comfort, satisfaction, adventure, home.  They're familiar, and we trust them.

We're pleased to tell friends what we like about our cars.  We don't hesitate to suggest that they try our favorite restaurant.  But although we love our church, we're sometimes hesitant to invite our neighbors to join us.  After all, that's "evangelism," and we're definitely not comfortable with that!

Yet evangelism is simply another word for "marketing"--sharing with oSaint Paul's Church Steeple Logothers what is meaningful to us--what we love and what we trust--and inviting them to try it for themselves.  Not comfortable with the words?  Then speak without words.   Proudly display your Saint Paul's logo.  Share our "brand" in the community.  People will notice.  And when they see how important it is to you, they just may want to find out what we're all about!

Several Saint Paul's parishioners now proudly display our logo on cars, caps, aprons, and shirts. If you want to help market Saint Paul's in the community, call the church and talk with Elisabeth today. Learn how you can share Saint Paul's--no words needed.
