Fellow Parishioners:

In my March 28^th report to the parish I listed those things that the Vestry wanted to accomplish in the coming year.  At our Vestry meeting on Monday evening we went through this list again and assigned responsibility for each initiative. It was gratifying to see how smoothly this went.  There was a lot of energy in the room and there was no lack of volunteers for the tasks at hand.

The Treasurer's report for the first three months of 2014 was also very positive.  Pledge income in the first quarter was approximately 39% higher than last year and 20% ahead of this year's first quarter budget.  We're not at all sure of the reasons behind this large increase and we will undoubtedly see a leveling off in the coming months. For now, we choose to enjoy it.

We are once again renovating our administrative area to gain efficiency and functionality. Construction will be beginning shortly at the office entrance and will entail converting the current financial administrator's office to an open sitting and reception area.  The new office area will be better office space with room for more and safer file storage.  Please excuse our progress, as they say.

The Vestry will be meeting with the Bishop after the BBQ on Sunday.  I will report on that meeting next week.
