From the Rector
We continue to move toward the joyous celebration of Easter. As the day of resurrection approaches many find it more difficult to live into the Lenten season as we set the stage for Easter Day. Spring vacation, travel, simply the busyness of life get in the way of our church attendance, Christian Education and other disciplines that help us prepare for this joyous day.

Holy Week offers us the opportunity to focus the weeks of Lent and spend time in concentrated efforts to place our Easter Celebration in context. I urge you to live into the events of Holy Week. Beginning with Palm Sunday and continuing through Good Friday there are opportunities to worship here at Saint Paul's.

There will be a celebration of the Holy Eucharist Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 12 noon in the Chapel. On Maundy Thursday at 7:00 p.m. we gather as we remember the institution of the Last Supper and share the meal that nurtures and sustains us. The stripping of the Altar at this service is a powerful symbol of the emptiness that leads to the fullness of Easter.

Make every effort to be here as we turn our face toward Jerusalem and walk with our Lord Jesus the way of the Cross. It is only in joining him on that journey that the joys of Easter can be fully received and appreciated.

May God bless us all as we approach the most Holy of Days.

George
