This newsletter is designed to highlight upcoming Pace Center projects, events, and activities, as well as to provide a digest of civic engagement and volunteer opportunities available to the Princeton campus community. Pacesetter of the week:
Shirley Gao '13
In this new weekly feature, we will be profiling a Princeton student and their special commitment to civic engagement and service.
Shirley Gao '13 is passionate about the big picture. An ideas-woman, she has the talent of seeing a need in the Princeton community, then following through to fill it. Her interests have been uniquely related to service - in fact, it's been the backbone of her Princeton experience.

4/13 Mindful Social Action Retreat
9AM-5PM, Graduate College Common Room. Thai activist Ouyporn Khuankaew will be running a full day retreat for a small group of women centered on social activism and mindfulness. The retreat will include exercises to explore suffering and mindfulness, discussion about the convergence of social activism and spirituality, and meditation.
