CCISD: Snapshots is a photo newsletter that highlights events, activities and happenings across CCISD. 

Anyone can submit a photo for CCISD: Snapshots! Just remember the following:
  • CCISD policy and procedures require all students to have the proper CCISD photo release to appear in CCISD publications  
  • Not all photos submitted can or will be used in CCISD: Snapshots. The Office of Communications has final photo approval
  • Photos must be submitted in .jpg format

Going Once, Going Twice...SOLD!

When the final 'sold' rang out at the 33rd Clear Creek ISD Livestock Show and Auction, $240,000 had been raised for the CCISD FFA program and students. The January 29, 2015 event, held at the West Agriculture Barn, attracted a crowd of proud parents, district administrators and community partners. CLICK HERE to read more about the top buyers and the top student winners.

CCISD Wows the Texas Association of School Boards
Clear Creek ISD played host to school board members from across Texas as part of the Leadership Texas Association of School Boards program. In the short window of time with us, they were amazed by the enthusiasm of our transportation drivers, the master teaching witnessed in the classroom, and the public speaking abilities of our students. In the words of the program's organizer, "What you did was show these 36 school board members Texas public education at its finest."
Crossing Guard Gets the Surprise of a Lifetime
Maurice Hobson, a crossing guard at Armand Bayou Elementary, got quite a shock when he was visited by the KHOU Channel 11 Surprise Squad. The Squad presented him with special gifts from the Houston Rockets and thanked him for his positive impact on the community. CLICK HERE to watch the surprise! Mr. Maurice has been a crossing guard with CCISD for six years and last year was the recipient of the Armand Bayou Elementary PTA Lifetime Membership Award.

CCISD Board of Trustee Honored by Perry Family YMCA
Dee Scott, Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustee, was honored for her service to the community during a special luncheon hosted by the Perry Family YMCA. Dee Scott is a long-time volunteer in education and to the community.

The Clear Creek High School boys basketball team was recently featured by The KUBE Channel 57 as its Team of the Week. CLICK HERE to watch the video. Way to go!

Gilmore Elementary Gets Prehistoric
The Gilmore Elementary PTA treated students to an educational and fun presentation by Dinosaur George. The television personality and public speaker shared amazing facts about the prehistoric creatures that once ruled the earth.

 

  

Panthers Hoop it Up for a Good Cause
Girls and boys PE classes at Victory Lakes Intermediate participated in Hoops for Heart. Their efforts raised more than $1,500 for the American Heart Association.
The Explorers Welcome an Un-BULL-ievable Guest
Goforth Elementary was recently visited by Toro, the Houston Texans mascot. Toro took time to visit with staff and students, including second grader David Rogers.
