Wrightsville Beach, N.C. - Named one of the Top 20 Must See Events in the Southeast, the North Carolina Holiday Flotilla celebrated its 30th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 30.

After a cold weather system blanketed the east coast earlier in the week, beautiful conditions prevailed on flotilla day with clear skies and daytime temperatures near 60.

Decorated yachts and sailboats paraded and glittered with thousands of twinkling lights in the waterways and the evening ended with a spectacular 21-minute fireworks exhibition by the famous Zambelli International. The annual Thanksgiving weekend event attracted an estimated 50,000 people.
