New Enhancements Make Pets' Visits More Comfortable

Everybody knows that it's scary for dogs and cats to come to the vet, right? Wrong! Here at Animal Hospital of North Asheville, we're always looking for ways to increase comfort and reduce fear in our patients. We love hearing about dogs who get excited to come see us, or cats who love our snuggling and treats. We have recently added some new features to make your pet's visit even more comfortable and low stress.

Facial Swelling -
A Common Problem

Has your dog ever had swelling in front of an eye to the left or right of the bridge of the nose? What could that be? As it turns out, it is seen fairly commonly. Do you have any idea what the cause could be?

There are many possibilities such as being physically struck in that area, having a puncture that became infected, a spider bite, a benign or cancerous growth and more. The most common cause is a tooth infection.

More Information
Now on Our Website
We are excited to announce two new features on Animal Hospital of North Asheville's website. We want our website (ahna.net) to be your source for information about the hospital, pet health, and community animal events, so we are constantly updating the site. Keep reading for more information about our latest additions.

The first new feature contains all of the extensive information that is provided to participants of our Puppy Preschool. This section contains a wealth of information on puppy/dog care and behavior. It will help any pet family learn the correct way to care for and train your puppy or dog, since it is never too late for you or your pet to learn. Click Here to read more
Tricks & Games March and April
Congratulations to the newest graduates of Dog-Ed's Tricks and Games Class: Molly, Zoe, Frankie and Marcie. The past several Saturdays were filled with laughter, treats, tricks and fun. Here are photos of Molly and Marcie showing off some of the tricks they learned with Jenny White, CPDT-KA of Dog-Ed.

Would you and your dog like to join in the fun? Only four lucky pets get to participate in each series of four classes. It may not be too late to register for the next session of Saturday classes which begins March 28th at 4:00pm at Animal Hospital of North Asheville and runs through Saturday, April 18th.
