CECD Announces Call for Engagement Incentive Grant Proposals


The Office of the Provost and the Center for Engagement and Community Development are once again taking applications for the Engagement Incentive Grant program. This program provides seed grants to faculty, K-State Research and Extension specialists and agents to help them pursue engaged projects in teaching, research, and outreach. Information is available on the CECD website and applications are due April 1st.

Hunger Dialogue Provokes Discussion, Brings Together Community Leaders


Last Tuesday, February 19th, ICDD facilitated a discussion on eliminating hunger, titled "Hunger: A Community Conversation That Matters." Participants explored challenges to addressing hunger on campus and within the community. Attendees also talked about how best to overcome those barriers and move forward to combat local hunger.

The dialogue was held in the K-State Student Union Flint Hills Room from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and was attended by community members and campus representatives.
