South Main Office

New Look & Technology Coming

Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. is excited to announce remodel plans for the South Main office, located on the corner of M-24 and Demille Road. Renovations are slated to begin on Monday, Oct. 6.

"These are very exciting changes for our customers and employees," said Bruce Cady, President and CEO of Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. "Our South Main office offered the first pneumatic tubes in the County when the drive-in lanes were built in 1970 and we want to continue offering state-of-the-art technology to make banking more convenient and efficient for all of our customers."

The South Main office was the third Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. office, opened on Nov. 2, 1970. In 1989, customers were given "A Key to the Bank" in the form of ATM cards which could be used at the newly installed ATM at the South Main office, as well as any Magic Line or Cirrus ATM. A second drive-up ATM was installed in 1996.

Upgrades to the drive-up will include new pneumatic tubes complete with two-way video communication, wider lanes and video screens which can pass on news and announcements to LCBT customers. Inside, the office will be given a new, more modern look and feel. Teller pods will give customers a more personal experience and digital signage will keep customers informed.

Construction will take place in two phases. The first phase will begin on Oct. 6 with the closure of the drive-ups and ATMs. Outdoor construction is expected to take about three weeks. Once phase one is completed, the drive-ups and ATMs will reopen and the lobby will be closed for approximately 9 weeks.

During the lobby closure, customers with safe deposit boxes will be able to access their box by appointment. To set up an appointment to access your safe deposit box, call the South Main office at 810-538-1955.

Technology & Security
Mobile Deposit Security

Your deposit is as secure as depositing checks in LCBT branches or ATMs. Check images are not stored on your device. Our LCBT apps have received the ViaForensics appSecure certification. ViaForensics performed several rigorous assessments (Android 4.4  and iOS 7.0 operating systems), including checking for insecure storing of data, appropriate two-factor authentication, secure data transmission, and man-in-the-middle and session hijacking vulnerabilities. The apps were found through empirical testing to avoid significant security vulnerabilities, and do not store or transmit sensitive data insecurely. The appSecure process is performed by qualified forensic and security analysts vs. automated code analysis, an important distinction from other secure app testing providers.

How do I check to see if my operating system is covered?

  • Android - Go to Settings; About Phone; Look for Android Version
  • iOS - Go to Settings; General; About, Look for Version
