I recently noticed a change in the active ingredient of  Corry's Slug and Snail Bait product. The previous active ingredient was Metaldehyde, which was quite effective at getting rid of snails  and slugs in gardens. Unfortunately, Metaldehyde is very toxic to pets. Therefore, Corry's Slug and Snail Bait changed their active ingredient to Sodium Ferric EDTA. This is an iron salt that is toxic to snails and slugs, but not toxic to pets making Corry's Slug and Snail Bait safe to use around your pets. If you prefer a snail bait that has Metaldehyde in it, try Force II Deadline Slug & Snail Killer. There are also products that contain Metaldehyde that come in granular form, Ortho Bug-Geta Plus or Deadline  Bug Bait. These products will kill snails, but also contains ingredients for other pesky bugs.
Hopefully this information will help you to choose the right weapon for your snail problem, but remember we are always here to answer any questions you may have.

 The most important thing is to envision what you desire. What kind of space would most enhance your lifestyle? Do you crave a quiet & serene place or more of an entertainment area? What color choices will best fit your plan. When making choices remember simple changes can make a big impact and can fit any budget!
Here are some tips to help you get started so you can enjoy the coming season living outdoors!
- Re-think furniture and accessories you already have. By using spray paint and some new pillows you will create a whole new look. Don't overlook the details, spruce up planted pottery, statuary and the back door with new paint too!
- Be adventurous...add a wall to define space, bring in pavers to
 border you existing concrete patio for more space, and add ambience with a fountain or fireplace. - Think of this area as a room and have fun with color, accessories and plants. Add them to the walls, corners and the floor. Finish the design off with rugs, lamps or lanterns and hanging sculptures.
- Most important, think of this additional space as an extension of your interior. The design will flow best if you coordinate the new area to what is visible to the inside. This doesn't mean you can't have a different theme, just being consistent with one dominate color will do the trick.
