Our first item is a 5/8 x 50' Ace industrial hose. In this case the industrial hose is not being used for it's typical purpose. You can use the hose to drain your water heater which can help prolong the life of it when it is done annually. It's good to drain your water heater annually because it helps to get rid of the sediment buildup that occurs inside the tank. This helps your water heater run more efficiently. As time goes by air leaks may develop in your home(i.e.windows, doors) having you use your heater/AC more to make you feel comfortable. This will make your energy bill to go up. One of the products that can be used is Great Stuff sealing foam. This can be used to seal and insulate the cracks and air flow leaks making sure no air can escape or enter.

The Department of Energy estimates that inadequate insulation from doors alone can lead to a 10% leakage in air flow. By insulating your doors with Ace Transparent Weatherstripping Tape it will seal the cracks and small spaces where air would flow in. This would help your energy bill go down especially in the windy and winter months.
