You Just Never Know What You're Going To Find

October
  Greetings!

BY ROBERT FROST
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost-
For the grapes' sake along the wall.

To a joyous October - Aiello

Day Trip - Manchester, VT

Yes, it's a bit of a drive and it makes for a long day, but it's worth the trip. Partake in a fluffy stack of sourdough flapjacks, or take a stroll of the arts and crafts shops the Center has to offer. Visit the upscale factory outlets and stately mansions. Soak in the beauty of the Green Mountains and the best of New England's foliage. If you're a cheese lover, visit the Taylor Farm outside of Manchester for some maple-smoked cheeses to nibble on for the trip back home. But if you decide to stay the night, who would blame you.
