 In recognition of her pioneering work in Chicago Muslim Activism. Founder of Universal Knowledge Institute which is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of the Qur'an. Professor at National Louis University, Chaired Diversity and Inclusion Council, Co-Author of "Muslim Voices in School" and "I Am Listening". Recipient of Iqra International Foundation's Lifetime Educator's Award.
Tasmiha Khan
In recognition of her groundbreaking global charitable work. Founder and CIO of Brighter Dawns which is a 501c3 that seeks to create a community-based model to improve health and sanitation conditions and aims to provide clean water in the slums of Bangladesh. Winner of Samuel Huntington Award for Public Service, Named "Social Innovator for Change"
by the White House.
