Anse Tamara Gray




MWA is thrilled to announce their keynote speaker Anse Tamara Grey for this year's Celebration of the Muslim Woman.  Across the nation, Anse Tamara has been reviving the tradition of female scholarship with workshops and lectures. She has inspired a new generation of women about their faith through her groundbreaking approach to Islamic education. Join us on Sunday, March 10, for an afternoon of sisterhood and spiritual upliftment.

Anse Tamara is an educational consultant whose career has spanned two decades and two continents. Her work includes curriculum design and implementation, administrative support, teacher training and sensitivity training. Her speaking engagements encompass women's issues in Islam and the Middle East, education and geographical issues, and other subjects under the general topic of education, feminism, Islam, and Muslims. Until recently Anse Tamara has worked with schools across the Middle East, in Qatar, the UAE, Syria and Kuwait designing curriculum programs and syllabi, training teachers for government ministries, and advising administrative staff. She speaks Arabic fluently and has translated a number of works from Arabic to English.
