Zakat Chicago, with it's focus on local collection and local distribution, is proud to support the noteworthy causes of the Muslim Women's Alliance (MWA).  We recognize those people who wholeheartedly devote their time to making positive impacts in their communities today.  In a time when Islamaphobia is at its peak, and with the "oppression of women" a ready and hypocritical excuse, it's nothing short of refreshing and inspiring to see firsthand the powerful force Muslim women actually do have within our communities when united.

Year-round, MWA focuses on a myriad of causes. The members of this remarkable organization work endlessly to bring together Muslim women of all ages, cultures, and professional backgrounds to highlight the faith that binds us, as well as the obligations that propel us to bring forth a positive change. 

When you see firsthand the impact Muslim Women's Alliance has had on our community through the various programs and events hosted, it's hard not to be moved in support of this organization.  That is why Zakat Chicago, as a Platinum sponsor, partners with the MWA on zakat-eligible projects on a case by case basis.
