Lombard, IL - March 2010 - The Muslim Women's Alliance (MWA) will conduct its second annual brunch in honor of Women's History Month and recognize three women leaders from the community who exemplify the ideals of MWA - philanthropy, community service and personal development. This year's honorees are: Mary Ali, director of the Institute of Islamic Information and Education and secretary of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago; Tasneema Ghazi, co-founder and director of Iqra' International Educational Foundation; and Ahlam Mahmoud, co-founder of the Iraqi Mutual Aid Society. The Muslim Women's Alliance was founded in 2007. MWA exists to build a strong alliance
between women so that they may implement the values of Islam by promoting
community service, fostering philanthropy, and realizing personal
development. MWA is an organization for all women from diverse backgrounds who support the MWA cornerstones.
