We have some road construction updates for you!
We have fielded questions on social media about two road construction projects - the Alsbury Boulevard extension to Hulen Street and the Stone Road extension.

According to Laura Melton, director of engineering services, the construction phase of the Alsbury extension has started, and utility relocation is currently underway. Heavy construction activity should begin in March 2016. The City expects the project to take about a year to complete, so look for the Alsbury Boulevard extension to open to traffic early in 2017.

The Stone Road project will be finished first! Stone Road, which runs behind Sam's Club and currently ends on the south end at Centre Drive, will be extended to Renfro Street. You can see some of the construction activity from Renfro Street, just east of the Sonic. The City expects the Renfro Street extension to open in Summer 2016.
