It was trick-or-treat time at Boo Bash
We had a full house in Old Town Oct. 25 at the City's seventh annual Burleson Old Town Boo Bash! The littlest trick-or-treaters decorated 1,000 miniature pumpkins. Vendors lined Ellison Street, from Main Street to Bransom, and handed out ca ndy for more than two hours. "If you're a monster and you know it" was the Boo Bash story, and the trick-or-treaters played along, acting out the "snort and growl, smack your claws, stomp, stomp, twitch your tail, wiggle your warts, roar roar." Families came out in force, and even the adults dressed up. To see the rest of the pictures, go to the Boo Bash album on the City Facebook page.

If the yellow arrow is flashing, yield
If the yellow arrow is flashing, yield. There are flashing yellow arrow lights at five intersections on Hwy. 174 - Hillery Street, Renfro Street, Ellison Street, Newton Drive and Summercrest Boulevard. If the yellow arrow signal is flashing, drivers may turn left after yielding to oncoming traffic and pedestrians in the crosswalk. The green arrow means that vehicles turning left have the right-of-way. The red arrow means to stop and wait (do not enter the intersection to turn) and the yellow arrow means prepare to stop. Watch for the signs above the signal lights that provide the reminder to yield. Let's be careful out there!
