Bag your grass clippings, yard waste
Do you have leaves and grass clippings to dispose of? If you live inside the city limits of Burleson, leaves and grass clippings are collected once a month based on the resident zone collection area (see map). Leaves and grass clippings must be placed in yard waste recyclable paper bags. These bags can be purchased at Home Depot, Lowes and local grocers or in bulk at Sam's Club. Place the recyclable bags at the curb up to 12 hours before the start of your collection week (7 p.m. the Sunday before) and the yard waste will be collected sometime during that week. If you don't want to wait for your zone week, you can take yard waste, in the recyclable bags, to the City's Recycle & Compost Center at 620 Memorial Plaza (behind Fire Station #2/next to Burleson Memorial Park) on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. You can pick up some free mulch while you are there! If you have any questions, please call the Municipal Service Center at 817-426-9830.
