Congratulations Burleson - you are a 'City on the Rise' in Texas
Burleson is a City on the Rise! NerdWallet, the consumer advocacy site that recently named Burleson 17 out of 20 in the top cities for home ownership, just ranked Burleson 23 out of 126 for Cities on the Rise in Texas. The analysis focuses on population growth (growth in the working-age population, 16 and older, from 2009 to 2012), employment growth (growth in the percentage of employed residents from 2009 to 2012), and income growth (growth in the median income for workers from 2009 to 2012). Burleson surpassed the Woodlands (home to ExxonMobil, first place in the study) in two out of the three categories. Burleson's overall score is 41.1 percent. Read More
