Two Tons of Steel brings country rooted rock to Hot Sounds tonight!
When you set up your chair for tonight's Two Tons of Steel Hot Sounds of Summer concert, don't set it up on the sidewalk. The sidewalks must be kept clear so that if there is an emergency, emergency personnel can respond quickly. Bring your hand fans and plenty of water to stay cool during the free 90-minute concert that kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Wilson and Ellison streets (124 W. Ellison St.). Two Tons of Steel, a San Antonio based band, is known for its rambunctious brand of country rooted rock. They are the third headliner in the City's five-week Hot Sounds of Summer series. Metal Shop ('80s hair band) is in town June 21 and Quaker City Night Hawks (rock 'n' roll) close out the Old Town series on June 28. Come early and get some great food at the restaurants in Old Town. Picnics are allowed at Hot Sounds but glass bottles are discouraged, for safety reasons. Check out Two Tons of Steel's website! |

Call Fire Station #1 at 817-426-9176, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. |
Hot Sounds crowd loved Le Freak!
Did you see Le Freak? The "Greatest Disco Band in the World" brought their high energy danceable entertainment to Old Town Burleson June 7 for what looks to be the largest crowd ever for the City's Hot Sounds of Summer concert series. The crowd was estimated at between 3,000 and 5,000 people. Le Freak had everyone on their feet singing along and even got the children on stage as part of the show. The City hosts the free 90-minute concerts every Friday night, May 31-June 28. Two Tons of Steel is headlining tonight's show. The series rounds out with Metal Shop ('80s hair band) on June 21 and Quaker City Night Hawks (rock 'n' roll) on June 28. To see more pictures from the show, go to the Le Freak! Hot Sounds of Summer Concert album on the City of Burleson Facebook page. |
