Friends
The annual Friends of Portage Parks giving campaign is now underway. Portage Parks have been hit hard by budget cuts the past few years, and your support is critical to our operations. Please consider becoming a Friend today by giving what you can to support parks, trails and conservation. You'll feel good!
We often take for granted the incredible natural resources we are blessed to have in Portage County--plenty of clean water and wildlife habitat that yield significant economic benefits to landowners and the general public.
Area conservation professionals have been developing plans for managing the important water and forest resources in our county. The Division of Forestry has created a Forest Stewardship Plan for Northern Portage County, and the planning agency NEFCO has created the Middle Cuyahoga River Watershed Action Plan. Both are available for your review and comment by clicking the title links above.
We hope you can get out and enjoy the beauty of the season in Portage Parks, and we'd love to hear about your experiences in nature and on the trails. Share your photos and stories on our Facebook page, and encourage your friends and family to like us too!
