This summer all of Linfield's athletic operations will be re-organized into a single K12 Athletic Department under the leadership of John Broussard and Amber Young. This new K12 Athletic Department will be headquartered in the High

School and will provide leadership for co-curricular athletic programming across all three divisions. The purpose of this change is to better serve Linfield's student-athletes by providing them with an extraordinary K12 sports experience that develops them physically, mentally, and spiritually. 8TH GRADE PROMOTION

June 5, 2014 6:00 p.m.

Eighth Grade Promotion will be held tonight, Thursday, June 5 in the Linfield Gym from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Note: students need to arrive by 5:30 p.m.). This special

evening will be a celebration of academic achievements as our students are promoted into high school. We will also watch the much anticipated "Video Memories" DVD. The ceremony itself will not be recorded, but you may purchase the Memories DVD at Promotion or by turning in this order form to the MS Office.

CLASS OF 2014 GRADUATION

Saturday, June 7 @ 10:00 a.m.

Location: Rancho Community Church Temecula

Attire: Semi-formal (Boys: shirt/tie/slacks; Girls: modest dress/skirt (no jeans, please!)

Please join us as we celebrate the achievements of Linfield Christian High School's Class of 2014! The doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and there is open seating. Tickets are not required. The event will be filmed and available at no charge (DVD's will be mailed directly home). Parking is located throughout the campus.

Summer Assignments HIGH SCHOOL

Most Linfield Christian High School AP Classes (as well as every level of English class) will have required assignments which are to be completed during the summer break. Please click here for more information.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Incoming 6-8 grade students also have required summer reading assignments associated with their English courses for the fall. These books have been selected by English Department instructors to foster continued reading during summer break. Please click here for more information.

School Books All students planning to take an AP course next year: please note that the registration requirements for AP courses differ from one AP course to another. If you have not done so already, please speak to Ms. Casey Bell or Mr. Angelo Iacoboni in the LCHS College Counseling Office to determine your eligibility for specific AP courses. Any questions about course expectations, course load, and summer work requirements can be directed to AP teachers.

MS TACKLE FOOTBALL

The MS Tackle Football season is just around the corner. The coaches have a fun summer planned that is geared towards preparing the team to compete like Lions. Click here for a schedule so you can prepare for the summer accordingly. If your son is interested in playing football, please email Coach Whitworth at kswhit@msn.com. MRS. LOVE - RECEPTION & FAREWELL PARTY

Save the Date: Mrs. Carrie Love is getting married and moving this summer, and everyone is invited to a reception & farewell party on August 9. Come meet her new husband and fellowship/pray with them as they begin their new life together. The reception will be held in the Prayer Garden at Linfield from 7:00-9:00 p.m.; work colleagues, former/current students and their families, and friends are all welcome, but no gifts please. KINDERGARTEN PROMOTION

TEXTBOOK BUYBACK

ESCO Bookstore Certain high school textbooks may be eligible for buyback from ESCO. We are not sponsoring a textbook buyback day on campus this year, but you are encouraged to check ESCO's website for a buyback book list as well as specific instructions and restrictions. Students may also buy books from other students; however, it is the students' responsibility to make sure that the same textbooks will be used again in the 2014-15 school year. Do not buy used consumable workbooks from friends, as they will not be allowed (consumables must be new and without writing inside).

GRAD NITE @ DISNEYLAND
Tuesday, June 10 @ 9:00 a.m. Location: Disneyland Seniors need to be at the bus and ready for departure at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10. The estimated return time is 4:00 a.m. Tickets have already been purchased, and permission slips should have been completed. Please consult Disneyland's specific requirements for appropriate attire.

DRIVER'S EDUCATION
June 9-11, 2014 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Linfield will be hosting a Driver's Education course this summer for all interested students. The class will meet in MS Room 323, and the cost is $75.
