PRIORITY RE-ENROLLMENT 
Please use the link sent to you via e-mail to complete your registration online through the new MyBackpack (MBP) system.

Each registration submitted by the March 15, 2014 priority deadline earns an entry into a drawing to win a Re-enrollment Registration Fee! The drawing will be held March 16, 2014; three prizes will be awarded.

We are holding our first Admissions Open House of 2014 on March 27 at 9:00 a.m., so please invite or bring your family & friends with school-age children! They will hear about our exceptional programs in Fine Arts, Athletics, and STEM and take a tour of active learning classrooms on our picturesque 105 acre campus with one of our student ambassadors. Click here for more information, and please RSVP with Becky Swanson.

WRITING AWARDS

WritingCongratulations to all of our MS students who entered the ACSI Writing Festival this year! They all received either good, excellent, or superior rankings, and specifically  Lilyanna Perakis (8th grade) and Rachel Pettigrew (7th grade) received Superiors; their entries will now go on for additional judging and possible publication. 

 

At the ACSI Spelling Bee, Chase Taylor and Sydney Wisemon placed in the 8th Grade Bee (Sydney got 1st; Chase got 4th). Sydney then competed later that night at the Spell-Off, a special event which consisted of all grade level 1st and 2nd place winners from 5th-8th grade, and she placed 4th! 

 

Jared Flores (8th grade) and Judy Song (7th grade) both won 1st place within the Monserate Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest. They even read their essays aloud for the DAR at a luncheon at the Pala Mesa resort a few weeks ago. Congratulations to all of our students who participated in these competitions! 

Athletics
BOYS VARSITY TENNIS

Tennis Ball

Varsity Boys Tennis will play an away match at Tri-City on Friday, March 14 at 3:30 p.m. Then on Monday, March 17 they will play at home against Paloma Valley at 3:15 p.m.  On Tuesday, March 18 they will travel to Murrieta Valley for a match at 3:15 p.m. JV Boys Tennis will play a home match against Murrieta Valley on Tuesday, March 18 at 3:15 p.m. 

 

BASEBALL

Baseball

Varsity Baseball will finish playing in the Citrus Hill Tournament on Saturday, March 15; game time and location are still TBD.  Please refer to the athletic website for the latest updates. On Monday, March 17 they will host Rancho Community for a game at 3:30 p.m. Then on Thursday, March 20 they will travel to Loma Linda for a game at 4:30 p.m. 

 

JV Baseball will play Crean Lutheran at home on Tuesday, March 18 at 3:30 p.m.  

SOFTBALL

Softball

Softball will travel to Loma Linda for a game on Thursday, March 20 at 4:30 p.m.   


 

GOLF

Golf Equipment

Varsity Golf will play a match at home against Aquinas on Monday, March 17 at 3:00 p.m. On Tuesday, March 18 they will host the Lions Invitational Tournament at Cross Creek with a shot gun start at 8:00 a.m.  Then on Wednesday, March 19 they will play an away match against Western Christian at 3:00 p.m. 


 

TRACK & FIELD

Track Numbers

Linfield's Track & Field team will compete in a meet at Vista Murrieta on Saturday, March 15. The meet begins at 8:00 a.m. 


 

 

 

 

TRACK FUNDRAISER

March 22, 2014

Please come to the 1st annual Linfield Fun Run! This LCHS Track & Field fundraiser will be held on the HS campus and is open to all ages; there are three specific runs/times, and prices range from $10-15. Check out this registration form for more information. Registration is open until the day of the event, but to get a T-shirt, please register by March 14. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Amber Young. Thank you for your support!

Choir-Music

March 13, 2014 @ 7:00 p.m. - Spring Festival Concert

Please come TONIGHT and join us at 7:00 p.m. in the Linfield Gym for a special concert which will feature the fantastic arrangements the MS Concert Band and HS Wind Ensemble have prepared for their annual tours. Admission is free!  Thanks for your support! 

 

April 1, 2014 @ 8:00 a.m. - ACSI Band & Orchestra Festival: The Elementary Bands, MS Concert Band and MS Jazz Band will perform for adjudication at this festival at Rancho Community Church. The day features performances from ten Christian schools in Southern CA; it is free, so everyone is encouraged to stop by and support our bands!

 

April 4-5, 2014 -  MS Band Tour: Students will participate in the Biola University Band Festival. This wonderful day on campus includes an adjudicated performance on stage in Crowell Hall, corporate worship, a Bible study led by Biola faculty, dinner in the café, and a concert by the Biola Wind Ensemble. Students will then spend the following day at Disneyland, enjoying art and entertainment at its very best! But this year, for the first time, they will also participate in a Disney Performing Arts Workshop, recording a portion of the musical soundtrack to an actual Disney movie!

 

April 25, 2014 @ 6:30 p.m. - Jazz Garden: The HS Jazz Ensemble and MS Jazz Band have prepared an evening of Jazz standards for "Jazz Garden," presented in the Linfield Prayer Garden on this special Friday evening. Coffee and dessert will be served, and everyone is invited to come and enjoy a fantastic evening of music and fellowship.

ES GRANDPARENTS' DAY
Grandparents Day

April 11, 2014

9:00-11:30 a.m. 

We are looking forward to meeting our students' grandparents for a time of fun and sharing! We have e-mailed a flyer and letter for you to forward or mail to your children's grandparents. We will be meeting on April 11 at 9:00 a.m. in our Chapel Patio area for short presentations from each classroom, and then your children will escort their special guests to classrooms to meet their teachers, have photos taken with their grandparents, and share a project or activity.  We do welcome a special person in your child's life to be their guest if circumstances prevent grandparents from attending. If you have any questions, please contact the Elementary School Office at (951) 676-8111 ext. 1151.

MS PRAYER ROOM

March 6-28, 2014  

The 8th grade's prayer event, Just Pray, continues throughout the month of March. Each year the 8th grade class creates, coordinates, and runs a prayer room which encourages us to encounter the Lord in new and creative ways. We hope you will take the opportunity to be involved! Here are just some of the ways in which you can support this event:

  • Volunteer to supervise the Prayer Room (parents). Click here.
  • Buy a Spirit Wear shirt ($10) with the Just Pray theme. All proceeds go to support the cost of this project, and shirts will be sold at Open House and during nutrition break & lunch. Click here for a T-shirt flyer.
7TH GRADE FIELD TRIPS

Boojum 10-11Boojum Trip

Location: Joshua Tree National Park

Cost: $260.00 

For more information on this field trip, please click here for a program overview. Permission slips are available here. Everyone who will be attending the program must also complete and submit the Boojum release form prior to the program. Permission slips and release forms are due by March 14 and all payments are due by April 4.

Medieval Times Trip
Thursday, March 20
The cost of this one day trip is $25. Payment and permission slips are due by Friday, March 14. Students will leave from campus at 8:30 a.m., and return by 3:00 p.m. For more information on Medieval Times, visit their site here.

AP EXAM SIGN-UPS

Deadline: March 14, 2014 AP Exams Sign Up NowIt is time to place orders for AP exams! Students are required to take the exams for the AP courses in which they are enrolled, and depending on the scores they receive, they may earn college credit for those courses. The cost for each exam is $89.00. Please download the AP Exam Form 2014 and submit it to the Counseling Office with payment. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, or credit card. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask your student's AP teacher or the HS Counseling Office.  

CANDOR FUNDRAISER

Please join us at the Murrieta Chick-Fil-A TODAY, Thursday, March 13 for a special Candor fundraiser! Simply present this flyer to the cashier when you purchase your food, and Chick-Fil-A will make a donation to our ministry based on the evening's sales. SPRING TEA

Spring TeaApril 25, 2014

The countdown to graduation begins with the Spring Tea! This springtime celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our seniors and their mothers. The senior ladies will be presented with special flowers from the junior girls, symbolizing an important or memorable quality they wish to share, and ALL of the seniors (girls and guys) will be spotlighted on center stage. Click here for RSVP and ticket information.

MARCH STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Caden Wakefield for being selected as the March 2014 High School Student of the Month! The Temecula Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and local sponsors support this event hosted by Sizzler Restaurant. The breakfast is even televised via tape delay through the local cable TV channel.
